Marwood House

In this stunning Georgian property in Winchester, we were commissioned to replicate the existing dado panelling in the main hallway and stairs, making it full height. The architectural joinery consisted of raised and fielded panels, with large bolection moulding, in tulipwood. Each shaped panel was individually hand carved to ensure continuity of the panelling below.

The existing Georgian staircase, including the treads and risers, were meticulously repolished by hand, along with a number of six panelled doors and oak flooring.

To complete the impressive renovations to this outstanding property, 18th century panelling was made and installed to the downstairs, recreating the original dado panelling, found in the main hallway and stairs.
