About Us

DCF Ltd specialise in producing 16th to 18th century period furniture and interiors, ranging from planked doors through to panelled rooms and staircases. 

Brian Purnell, founder of the company, has worked within the industry for the last 30 years and therefore has a wealth of knowledge and expertise.  He was Workshop Manager for Stuart Interiors for 15 years and then in 2001 decided to form his own company, which is now celebrating its tenth year of trading.

Our workshop is based in Somerset, along with a showroom displaying a wide range of our designs.  Clients are most welcome to visit and we will be happy to show them around.

All our work is made, carved and polished by hand, using our team of highly skilled craftsmen who have over 100 years experience between them.  All the work is then delivered and fitted on site by ourselves.

We like to be able to provide a personal and dedicated service to our clients, with Brian visiting the site to discuss their requirements.  We will always endeavour to work with the clients’ needs and within their budgets wherever possible.

We work nationwide and have been involved with private clients, public organisations, charities, Interior Designers, Architects and Builders.

Whilst we mainly deal with architectural joinery, we are also able to source a wide range of accessories to complement our work.  These include replica flagstone flooring, hand carved stone fireplaces, lighting, ironwork and pewter.
