DCF Ltd are aptly named for two reasons - for the sheer quality and historical “feel” of their work – in 2010 an architectural historian visited our house and commented on a staircase made in 2001 saying “pure early 17th century”. Secondly, for their advice, Brian Purnell once telling us not to have a room panelled as it just would not be appropriate, losing a contract for that job, but gaining a very loyal future customer
DCF Ltd have recently played a crucial part in an exciting project for me at the Royal Air Force Museum, Hendon. This was to re-create the office furniture of Claude Grahame-White, who was a famous aviation pioneer and early aircraft manufacturer. The only reference for the furniture was an original, good quality black and white photo, taken in 1915. Fortunately Brian’s great understanding of furniture and his ability to interpret from the photo, allied with his craftmens’ skills, have resulted in perfect replications that have been utterly convincing to everyone who’s seen them. I have be happy to recommend Brian and DCF to anyone for this kind of work
